PSI and Navy instructors to discuss STAR in DoD course

PSI president Charles Cox and Lt. Todd Sims of the Naval Information Operations Command, Suitland (NIOC-S) will present a joint invited lecture entitled “Photonic-enabled simultaneous transmit and receive (STAR)” at this year’s Classified Advanced Technology Update (CATU) at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. The lecture will cover both 1) the potential mission applications enabled by the ability to transmit and receive simultaneously from the same aperture, and 2) the underlying technical approaches to addressing the myriad challenges raised by STAR.
